RIAA fights to keep wholesale pricing secret [Ars Technica]
- So let me see if this makes sense. The RIAA is suing people for several hundred dollars per shared song, but are unwilling to disclose pricing information that could determine the justification of the seemingly excessive amounts sought by the RIAA. I think the RIAA are beginning to make up in lawsuits where they're lacking in actual sales earnings these days.
We're talking about works that immediately and rapidly depreciate in value as soon as it makes it's way to the Internet anyway.
